BTW, your offer to get pictures of my old neighborhood in La Habana scares me, it was an old neighborhod when we left in 1968, I can imagine what time and neglect borne out of lack of resources has done to my apartment building these past 35 years.
Thomas Wolfe was right.

Luis, you are correct and was insensitive of me to offer. Some parts of La Habana that aren't being restored (like Habana la Vieja), look like living photos of bombed out buildings in Europe right after WWII, and this is no exaggeration. I found it interesting (clinically speaking like a doctor looks at a patient) in how Castro made a one time vibrant beautiful city into rubble. By the way, the Cubans are a good looking group of people, and they have a terrific sense of humor in spite of their difficult lives.
