Bijol, according to this is just a coloring. I somehow expected it to be more, from the description. I can smell it through the pixels.

Some recipes call for paprika instead of bijol, I can taste the difference.

What is it?
Where does it come from?
How is it made?

Obviously, from the comments, it's not tasteless.
