And they are suppressed to boot! I assume they are loading subsonic ammo like the 147gr. controlled expansion Winchester’s. This actually sounds like a great plan. The two shot trigger group gives them a faster rate of fire (and they were probably trained to fire quick pairs with the handguns). The suppressors may or may not reduce panic amongst people in the airport. Frankly, the shots will still be loud. But, if there is a gunfight with a lot of cops shooting, they won’t all go deaf, and they might still be able to communicate between shooting. I don’t know how many of you have shot indoors, but the ringing in your ears can really make post-shooting communication very difficult. I once had a 7.62 rifle fired from just behind my ear (outdoors). It was more than one shot, and less than two or three feet away, and I remember worrying that I wouldn’t get my hearing back. In a hall way a 9mm has the same effect.
