From 90 to 70; Reagan took it from 70 to 38 - that's why we had so many years of prosperity.

Maybe the Kennedys are in such a drunken stupor that they forgot what was in JFK's tax plan.

So I'm guessing that Kennedy cut it from 90 or 94% to 70%. Recent article about the JFK tax cut at>>> http://www.rushlimbaugh.com I believe the top rate went from 90% to 70% although people were not paying the 90% because certain deductions were still available then.

Evidently; I heard he did not give a very favorable response when questioned about why he didn't support his own brother's tax cut. The dems are going crazy!

Teddy Kennedy is an embarrassment to his brother John and the country as a whole. I didn't leave the democrat party, they left me.

''President Kennedy cut income taxes and the economy soared,'' the ads state.

Their real problem with the ad, is that it's the truth.

I like it when Bush does stuff that drives these liberals bonkers. They really embarrass themselves.

''Your advertisement also mentions President Reagan's tax cut that favored the wealthiest Americans, led to enormous debts, and harmed the economy. We suggest that in the future you limit your comparisons to the Reagan plan,'' they wrote.

The truth is Reagan's tax cuts the tax cuts helped spur the economy and income tax revenues increased during this period.

IRS Statistics of Income of the 1980s prove this is true.

Furthermore, during this period Congress never once cut spending, and the actual budgets were higher than what Reagan asked for 7 out of 8 years.
This is what lead to higher deficits.

The Democrats have been lying about this for years.

"The family of President Kennedy objected yesterday to the use of his name or image in ads touting President Bush's tax cut package. The late president's brother, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, and daughter, Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, said the ads were ''politically irresponsible and grossly inaccurate,'' and called on the Club for Growth, a tax-cut advocacy group, to take them off the air."

The assorted set of social misfits called the Kennedy Klan should get on their brooms and fly off to Camel-Lot. They have no copywrite on history.

Deja vu. Didn't the Republicans do this with the first tax cut and the bloated liver pissed and moaned about it then?

While I don't put Kennedy on the pedestal that I've seen some do in Democratic/Irish/Catholic circles, the more I read about his short presidency, the more I like him, sexual transgressions aside. He was a hawk, fervently anti-Communist, and a tax cutter.

"He was a hawk, fervently anti-Communist, and a tax cutter."

Yes, but Kennedy's weakness and blundering very early on, with the Bay of Pigs, emboldened the Russians to put the missles in Russia.

He was charismatic, but had some of Clinton's combination of duplicity and a suave manner. Big difference between Kennedy and Clinton. Kennedy didn't run from WWII.

Time for a new ad - comparing Bush's efforts to liberating oppressed people to Reagan ending Soviet oppression, JFK and MLK working with the Republican majority for more civil rights, and Lincoln in freeing the slaves. Bush should say that his choice of landing on the "Abraham Lincoln" (cue the footage) was made, in part, because of the symbolism of Lincoln as a liberator of oppressed peoples.
