Most press reports hve it hat the ship was "dead" in the water, but this was in fact, not the case.
He probably means 5 Kt when Bush was giving his speech. It would be hard to give one with 30-40 mph of wind across the deck. I don’t think the aircraft landed with that speed. Did it ?
BTW how did Bush leave the ship? If he did a cat shot. That would be a first too.
