It must be so, because if there were a republican former Klan member it would be nightly news until he was hounded out of office.

Trent Lott got hounded out of his position for merely expressing SUPPORT for a senator who is STILL IN congress... so ... the one who HOLDS the views is OK to stay in congress, but the one who expresses SUPPORT for the one who holds the views is baaaaad...
