I like Estrich, but she's dead wrong about this. The murdered are frequently used as "pawns" to further larger agendas. One may disagree with the ethics or message of the practice, but advocacy groups have every right to do it. Perfect example of both sides of this coin: Matthew Shepard/Jesse Dirkhising.

Ah, but Shephard and Dirkhising were part of the socialist agenda while Connor is part of the VRWC agenda, so it's entirely different!

I'm puzzled by the reference to Dirkhising. As I recall, the stunning thing about this case was the LACK of interest on the part of the media, because they didn't want to publicize a case where homosexuals were REALLY BAD people.
