Boortz touched a nerve with the hubcap reference and there might be some truth to it. When you're in a heated debate, if you can use a fact (O'Reilly's occasional lapses where he makes the blatant racist statement off the cuff) to disrupt your opponent's rantings, you usually win the debate. Now that the war is over, O'Hubcap has to entertain the left and the right. This issue is purely on his show to keep the formerly loyal CNN viewers hooked to his show.

Boortz defended racism, unfortunately, revealing that he too is a racist.I didn't see it that way.
My Congressman belongs to the Congressional Black Caucus. Does that make him a racist?

One doesn't have to agree with everything someone says or believes, or do they?
Nope. I don't have to listen to the Dixie Chicks, either.

And he is also right in that statistically on average, Christians do have lower levels of intelligence than non-Christians.I don't know where you got that one, or how you measuring Intellegence, please tell me its not I.Q. scores, because if it is, the basis being used is because asians dominate those tests (along with the SAT), and they would be the non-christian group. Keep in mind, that this quickly goes racial over relgion then.

I saw that he was going to have yet another installment on it, so I turned it to Emeril Live.

What happened to that story?Actually, I had some inside info on that story (stuff I can't talk about, let's just say my wife is tied to the Welfare authorities involved), and the preacher was actually involved in what amounted to child abuse.
As seems to be the case most of the time, the truth lies somewhere between the two stories that showed up out there....

This year, there was no all black prom. The official school prom is the integrated one, the all white prom, is essentially a private party, which doesn't actually ban blacks from attending, it just doesn't invite them. (I.E., they can come if they are brought by somone else as a date). Interesting side note, the original intent of the segregated proms, was to prevent tensions from arising due to possible inter-racial dating.

"Use what ever twisted logic you want."
I'll leave that to you, you seem to be the expert on "twisted logic".
"The kids did organize the all white prom on school property and they admitted this on a previous telecast."
The kids did not use school facilities (phones, etc.), school money, or school personnel to "organize" this private party or prom or whatever word you like to use. And once again, why are you not asking for a condemnation on Spellman College's all black parties? Or Morris Brown? Be consistent or be gone. Oh, and those are organized and sponsored using taxpayer dollars.
"It's real simple, Boortz condoned this on tonights program"
To quote the great one, that's blatant bovine scattology.
"and the Governor will not condemn this."
It's not in the job description. Trust me, I've met Jeb Bush and I don't think it's in his either.
" Let's admit that racial problems still exist and deal with it ok?"
They do exist. But using the man with the gun to solve them only makes matters worse. If you don't believe me, visit rural Alabama some time. It's still 100% segregated, even in public. All they've done is removed the signs.

By the way, when I say official, it doesn't mean the school is putting money or anything else in. Its the one the school is recognizing as "the real prom".

True. Boortz detests organized religion for the most part but is a Christian as far as I know. He loves to tear into Jerry Fallwell. I think one problem is that Neal is a libertarian so he steps on everyone's toes now and then. In the past week he has castigated those who want the Confederate flag as a part of the Georgia state flag and then defends the right of free association on this prom thing. His sidekick Royal Marshall is black and they go at it sometimes but agree most of the time. Royal has his own show at nights and is very good too. Neal has all sides mad at him.
I love his show but even I get angry about 15% of the time such as when he defends the legalization of drugs. He is a great addition to talk radio.

it is about the racist behaviour of some students on school property They were no where near school property. Private dance, personally funded.

I can't wait to hear Royal laughing his butt off. I listened to Royal's show for awhile tonight - the beisbol game was called off so Royal was on - but I didn't hear him say anything about the O'Reilly/Boortz set-to.
Boortz had really laid into O'Reilly this morning with essentially the same charges he made tonight. I don't think that O'Reilly should have been surprised. But maybe Bill's staff work is getting sloppy.

Ahhhhhhhh! Democracy, Freedom, and Equality. No where else....Can you imagine a bunch of Pakistanis sitting around having this conversation? Here we are with computers, and I can just imagine the firebombings, Kalashnikov fire, lynchings, and so on, just to win an argument.
Hope Im not OFFENDING anyone with my characterization.

Child abuse laws got so screwed up during the 80s, many innocent people had their lives ruined and went to jail.
I'll take your word that the preacher crossed the line, but disipline and abuse are so hard to separate once it get's into a legal battle.
The case did catch my attention for that reason.

I think O'Hubcap's staff is on vacation. His shows this week have been awful. I'm finding other things to do at 8 now. Boortz didn't vary one iota from his radio show, but that doesn't matter to the know-it-alls here and on the O'Hubcap team. Boortz is right and it's that simple.

Good points. I wanted the beautiful girls to have me at their parties but nooooo. Same today. I demand that a beautiful woman of any race (white, black, asian, latina, etc.) spend some time with me. But women have the freedom to choose those with whom they associate. Same deal here. I am white but would probably be more at home at the all black get together than with this particular group of white teens.
Whenever Condi Rice wants to get married, I am here! I read though that she prefers black men which I totally understand.
