I DO still ask the question "What rights are NOT restored after the completion of a full jail sentence AND parole other than the right to keep and bear arms?? Remember, I also believe that commision of a crime using a firearm should result in a 10-20 or more prison sentence with NO parole.

After a felon has completed all of their sentence, including any parole period, then I think that their suffrage is still lost as well as their firearm rights. There are also other prohibitions - some states prevent them from holding elective office, for example.

I don't believe that felons ought to automatically recover their civil rights. I do believe that they ought to have the opportunity, after a period of time (say 20 years) of squeaky-clean living in society, to have judicial review of that loss.

I agree with you that violent firearms crimes ought to have long certain prison terms.
