Thank you for posting this. It clearly refutes the lefties screaming about Israel "taking" land from the Palestinians. And also puts to rest their misinformed belief that Palestine is a country.

So how do we get the word out to Destro, the Country, and the World, that this is why Israel must NEVER give up Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria?

Arafat wants a chunk of Israel (Gaza and "West Bank") to be his "Palestinian" state but he isn't squealing to the UN for a chunk of Jordan too. Why is this? Because the previous Hashemite monarch kicked his butt 33 years ago?

There never has been a 'country' called "Palestine". There was/is a geographic area called 'Palestine' but it was never a country.

Why does Yasser Arafat and his PLO demand the creation of a second "Palestinian" state? The country of Jordan comprises most of the land of "Palestine". The great majority of Jordan's population is "Palestinian", the Jordanian army is comprised of a majority of "Palestinians", and most of the Arabs living in the Israeli administered territories hold Jordanian passports. In addition to this, the 1970 Jordanian-PLO war was considered a civil war and recorded as such.
The evidence is overwhelming. An independent Palestinian Arab state already exists in the Middle East in the form of Jordan nearly 80 percent of the whole of Palestine. So why do politicians and the news media keep beating on Israel to withdraw to indefensible boundaries?
Arafat wants a chunk of Israel (Gaza and "West Bank") to be his "Palestinian" state but he isn't squealing to the UN for a chunk of Jordan too. Why is this?
How stupid do you think we are? Gaza and the West Bank are 90%+ Arab. Why shouldn't the residents have the right to be an Arab state, instead of Israeli military occupied territories?
Or is what you are really saying that the Arab inhabitants should be expelled across the Jordan to make "defensible" geographic and ethnic borders?
If that's the case, I'll call you a supporter of Israeli Naziism.

Palestine is a Greek word taken from the Bronze age Greek tribe called Philistines who were also part of the fabled Sea Peoples that fell upon Egypt in that era also.
Palestine would therefore should be applied more exactly to the coastal regions. In due time the whole region (then very Hellenized) was called Palestine. A geographic term which came to apply to ALL ethnic groups who lived within it. That is why the Arabs are called Palestinian Arabs. If Mexicans moved en mass to "Palestine" they would also have a right to be called Palestinian Mexicans.
PS: johnb838, what does this have to do with me?

Oh, I just know you like these threads....
I thought Palestine was what the Romans renamed Israel after they destroyed the Temple and dispersed the People. In order to be reminiscent of that vanished tribe that you referred to.

Because the previous Hashemite monarch kicked his butt 33 years ago? Actually unification with Jordan is a fundamental part of the Phased Plan of 1974, still an active component of PA ideology frequently referred to by Yasser (and Abu) in Arabic. It happens after the establishment of a "palestinian state", prior to driving the Jews into the sea. It doesn't necessarily have to be accomplished peacefully, as the Hashemites already know.

Palestinians defined by an expert.
=============================
"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism.

He is correct in a sense. The claim also that Jordan is really - really Palestine is just false. Palestine is the old Greek territories on the coast.

Why does Yasser Arafat and his PLO demand the creation of a second "Palestinian" state? Because it's not about a "Palestinian" state; it's about the complete annihilation of the Jewish one.
