LONDON, England (Reuters) -- U.S. President George W. Bush on Wednesday lifted all sanctions against the former rebel movement UNITA in Angola, one of the countries in Bush's so-called coalition of the willing supporting the war in Iraq.
Angola was in the limelight as a U.N. Security Council member during the heated debate over Iraq. The country's support was courted by the United States, as well as by the leading opponent of the war, France.

A "friendly country," France, acts like the US worst enemy, and an "unfriendly country," Angola, acts like a friend.
I'm glad to learn that UNITA is being allowed as a political party, since the MPLA has ruled Angola under a one-party dictatorship since the Cuban troops put into power MPLA leader, Neto, back in 1976.
Both UNITA and MPLA had Marxist roots, so communist Cuba tossed a coin and chose a "winning" side.
