The French government secretly supplied fleeing Iraqi officials with passports in Syria that allowed them to escape to Europe, The Washington Times has learned.

An unknown number of Iraqis who worked for Saddam Hussein's government were given passports by French officials in Syria, U.S. intelligence officials said.

I hope these guys don't have a few souvenirs from Saddams bio weapons program. A brief visit to the US could cause us some serious harm.

I think Bush should tell the State Department to stand down for a bit and let Rumsfield loose: "This isn't helpful, Mr Chirac. No sir, not very helpful at all."

The Freee Iraqis will have to do exactly what the Israelis did. Form death squads to go find these people and take them out or capture them for trial. Then they should be allowed to take back or out any France Whore responsible for this.

They were as much Iraq's ally in the war as Syria was, and maybe more. That makes them our enemy.

I was thinking that at least that limits the area we have to look in.

Other intelligence reports indicated that a French oil company was working with a Russian oil firm to conclude a deal with Saddam's government in the days before military action began March 19.

Why were they STILL trying to make deals as our planes were launching.......what could they possibly hope to get?

They are all probably taking a dirt nap in a mass grave.

Jacques knows he can not afford to have them available to testify to the FRench complicity for the many years since Desert Storm.

Yessss! The Iraqis need a Simon Wiesenthal who will pursue these murderers to the four corners of the globe. Wonderful idea.

Actually Howlin, this means they can be anywhere.

Right, now besides France, Portugal, Belgium and Germany, Canada would be at the top of my list. Then any S. American Country from Mexico south.

Chirac's France is part of the Axis of Evil. Chirac has been a friend of Hussein's for decades. He tried to build him a nuclear power plant, all the while knowing it's true purpose was to enable Hussein to create nuclear weapons. Newly manufactured (2002) French weapons have been found by our troops in Iraq. France is allied with our mortal enemies. Chirac was probably on Hussein's payroll. Back stabbing scum.

We may not find WMD, but it looks like we're well on the way to finding enough paperwork to destroy France's credibility on the world front.

Bill Gertz is very reliable and has been on the target going back to the Chinagate days.

This was probably leaked to him on purpose so this could get out in the Washington Times, Fox News, Free Republic and Rush and Sean tomorrow plus other conservative talk shows.

I hope that you are correct! If ChIraq got them out and whacked them, it would save us a lot of money and time.

However, what they knew would be buried with them.

That may well be. I'm looking at this from the aspect that France has already taken down the credibility of the UN, and it appears that they are well on the way to doing the same thing to the EU. It's complete nonsense to think that the member nations of the EU could ever become closely allied enough to tear down centuries of nationalistic instinct. France is showing them exactly why they can't trust each other.

Our A10 that was shot down over Baghdad may have been shot down by a new French or Russia hand held ground to air missile.

We're going to find the WMD's. I'm convinced it's just a matter of time. I know that Russia and france had something to do with their removal, but we'll find the trail and follow it.
