Oh yeah, guys, that'd be a
REAL good idea. That's it...delight Hitlery and her henchmen in the Senate even more!!
Such a move would be idiotic to the nth degree, and I don't believe any leader worth his or her salt would do it.

So two "evangelicals" think they can deliver the whole base?
Really?
What do they do? Stand in the booth with them and offer them walk around money?
Phooey. Two men don't a movement make.

Leaders of the Christian right are thinking of bolting the Republican Party in 2004.ROTFLMAO! I'm sooooo sure. We have a "born again" President, but they're willing to help elect a representative of Lucifer(Demoncrat), I don't think so, they're just posturing.

The enemy of the good is the insistence upon the perfect. If religious conservatives insist on bolting the party, they'll see all their worst nightmares come true. If you're happy with what Republicans are doing on values, work within the party to change it. But remember if you help to elect Democrats you'll be effectively undoing all the hard work it took conservatives to get to where we are now. The destructive legacy of liberalism is not going to be reversed overnight. It'll take a lot longer than 10 years to dismantle it. What needs to be emphasized is the Democrats are the party of libertinism, moral relativism, and abortion. Think about it before foolishly talking about deserting the GOP cause it hasn't done everything you wanted to do.

Ain't gonna happen. If some crackpot in the "Christian Right" thinks he/she is speaking for all of us, guess what? They will make a fool of themselves.
Message to leaders in the "Christian Right", the Christian Coalition, et al: I can speak for myself, thank you!

Bad idea.

There is no worry about conservatives leaving the Bush train. Now cracked-brained idiots might.

According to the reports I saw, turnout among evangelicals was poor in 2000 compared with earlier elections. It was the main reason Bush almost lost.

Really!
Wishful thinking here on somebody's part.

If this is true, and the pro-2nd Amendment group do the same thing because of the administration's support of continuing the Feinstein/Schumer assault weapon ban, this could mean trouble.
To: joesnuffy
We should at least be open to the possibility that the DOMESTIC LEFT as well as OVERSEAS ANTI WESTERN AND ANTI US ENEMIES long ago figured out that by splintering the Right they could neutralize us. Therefore, I would imagine that they have invested in operatives who, on the surface appear to be part of the various Rightist groups. I would imagine that the ones who have been planted amongst the "Religious Right" help to facilitate discussions such as the one that has led to the statements documented in the article. Meanwhile, I would also imagine that within the "big tent" group of Moderates are other operatives who facilitate 3rd Way approaches.
