The school was not locked up apparently, only the room with the pics. Why was that room locked?

You cannot determine from the article that the room was the only one locked - all classrooms could be locked, for example.

Actually, I determined it by what I just heard on Rush :) Rush reported that the cop said the building was open, that that particular room was locked up.
