"If police units can't enter buildings any time they want then we can not have police units at all.
"

Really? So, it is your belief that the police can enter your home or place of work anytime they want? I think a rereading of the 4th and 5th amendments to the Constitution are in order for you.

In fact, the teacher has a desk in that classroom which contains, no doubt, personal papers of his. The police cannot go through that desk without a warrant.

Suppose a neighbor who disliked you called the police and told them you had drugs hidden under your bed. Would the police have the right to enter your house in your absence and search for them? How about in the desk of your office?

Do read the Constitution, please.

This claim is not nearly so open-and-shut as you would have us think.

If the drawer is not locked, the teacher has no reasonable expectation of privacy for the documents, and they are not subject to 4th amendment protection.

You recommended reading the 4th and 5th amendments. I would recommend that you read some Supreme Court case law on the topic.

Pennsylvania v. Mimms, Terry v. Ohio would be good starter cases for you.

Do take a logic class please. Do quit mis-quoting me please. Do stop adding hypothetical events please. You put this in your quote "enter buildings any time." Why did you do this? We have clearly been talking about PUBLIC buildings. you know this. I have put it in huge letters all over these threads. You then base an argument on that quote and not the stream of conversation. Stop that.

I loved your second paragraph. Where did this come from? Do you frequently just make up fantasy while talking to people? How am I supposed to answer this it has little relevance to the topic. I’m going back to cops taking pictures in a public classroom.

In fact……………… your office? Where did this come from? So, how about this. In the desk the teacher has a picture of her nice that was an extra in a the film something about Mary, who starred Cameron Dais who was in a film with Pennelopy Cruz. She starred with Tom Cruise several times and Tom was in A few good men with KEVIN BACON. Wow isn’t that neat. Back to the topic please.
