Good news too about the Chicago Tribune which was bought out by the LA Slimes operation as well.

The Boston Globe which is the farm slime team for the Ny Slimes took one of the biggest hits. The Globe's articles posted on Free Republic are poorly written and are basic hate GW stories posing as News.

Isn't it amazing when there is a decent alternative as a newspaper or tv channel for the news, it does well in the free market.

John if you are up and around, this is good news.
Looks like more people are realizing that buying a NY Slimes is a waste of money.

With this good news, Grampa will be heading to bed.
The way the NY Slimes lies about everything else, this is probably an inflated ciculation number.

The left's reaction to failure is to do more of exactly what caused the failure in the first place.
Expect to see Howell Raines put Maureen Dowd in charge of the editorial page and add Michael Moore and Molly Ivins to the Op-ed section.

Mostly good news, although I am sick of waiting for the Philadelphia Inquirer to hurry up and die. Hopefully, some of these "up" figures are mainly a phenomenom of the Iraq War.

Grampa Dave said: "Looks like more people are realizing that buying a NY Slimes is a waste of money."
If you set fire to your money, that would be wasting it.
Subscribing to the "NY Slimes" provides resources to people who hate you and your most deeply held values and beliefs. Such people wish to rob you of your freedoms and substitute the pursuit of the collective good which they will define.
That is far worse than "wasting" your money.

It looks like the NY Post picked up pretty much everyone who fled the NY Times.

A bit of inside skinny........The Atlanta Journal Constitution every so often gives extra papers to its carriers to throw non subscribers along their routes. This could be done in order to inflate circulation numbers. Me thinks this is exactly the case.

We've heard 'em whine that today's media is DOMINATED by conservative reporting>
