The Inky, the DN, the Snooze Journal in Wilmington, now the Daily Times from my old stomping grounds (my stepdad delivered it in his youth when it was the Chester Times)... how did Philly and environs' newspapers drift so far to the left?

Just curious,who owns this newspaper?

I know the Boston Globe is now owned by the New York Times so I was wondering about this one.

Santorum is entitled to freedom of speech just like anyone else. The voters will see that he is defeated or elected and isn't that the American way?

Undoubtedly you never read the Senators comments, he never used the word "gay" in his statement, it was put in by the reporterette (J.(French)Kerry's campaign managers wife)to spice up the statement a little. The RATS get away with this all the time but the media screams bloody murder if a republican makes a error in commenting on what a RAT says in an interview.

So, we weren’t entirely surprised when Santorum managed to alienate at least 10 percent of the American population by equating their sexuality with criminal behavior. We aren’t even convinced that he was being mean-spirited or bigoted. He probably was just, once again, uninformed and, definitely confused.

I agree. Santorum should have clarified himself by letting us all know if he supports police being able to barge into people's bedrooms and arrest and jail them for homosexual or adulterous acts.

The former Chester Times (that's what it was called when I delivered it also) should maybe spend less time pontificating about Sen Santorum and more about what's going on in Chester - like the murder this weekend of a twenty-one year old Widener University senior - shot in the back for six dollars while on a beer run, leaving a devastated mother and twin brother - but then they might have to face the fact that Chester has been deteriorating for forty years and all their wisdom and exhortations have been worthless in stopping the decline - nah, better to stay focused on easy and safe targets like Santorum......

I HAVE A SUGGESTION!!

CALL THE DAMN NEWS OUTLETS AND ASK THEM WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO RAKE MICHAEL JORDAN OVER THE COALS FOR HIS ANTI-HOMOSEXUAL REMARKS AND MILLION DOLLARS GAMBLING SPREES!!

Jesse Jackson types running Philly. When do the schools get handed to the state for control?
