Yes, there were many "mistakes" with the evidence, including the missing/poorly exposed photos. Despite this poor quality Dr. Henry Lee was able to view the grainy photos and conclude he saw blood on the leaves around the body. Dr. Lee did not enter the investigation until years after the event.
