Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!!!!

I can not celebrate Cinco de Mayo without being reminded of my trips to Cancun. I have been there 4 times and I would say that it is one of the biggest parties on Earth. Also I love Chichén Itzá which is one of the greatest places I have ever been to.

Anyway have a great day everyone.

LEASE

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

In May the hyacinth breaks out
As welcoming hosts our day’s delight—
Those yellow sprays so freshly laced
Against green buddings on the trees.

Bright daffodils our gardens fill
With mysteries of spring’s full store.
A place to dream, to rest, to play
‘Neath winds of dawn’s expansive lease.

CHAIRMAN FOR THE LOG

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

As opportune glen’s gophers met
To choose a Chairman For The Log,
Committee formed to save its plight
From loggers’ saws so poised to fright.

The log was all the gophers had
As home to shelter, home to nest.
Its crannies wound its innards round—
Community far out of sight

From harm’s way made, for so they thought,
Before the enemy set camp.
Committee met and voted all
To guard log’s vast communal hall.

So in the night the gophers bade
The Beavers’ Union thus engage
To carry log down to the swamp—
‘Twas done, injustice set a-right.

The only problem is that 141 years after Puebla, Mexico's Vicente Fox is happily kissing Chirac's French culo at the UN.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Of course I know it's a leprechaun. Just too lazy to find something appropriate.

Can't you, just for once, help me out and pretend it's a Mexican-themed graphic? It wouldn't kill you! :-)

Sabotaging her Cinco de Mayo thread by posting a leprechaun should really annoy her. Hahaha.

BULLY BRAT NORTH KOREA

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

North Korea is playing bully brat. US won't stand for it. It's come down to
that.

The NEW YORK TIMES says the Bush administration is bluffing. Bush admin
says NYT doesn't know what it's talking about. So goes the fray.

"Put down your dukes-nukes," the US says to North Korea. Do it!

The US may set up a blockade on North Korea to press for compliance.
According to Fox News, the US may put in place an economic embargo to
interdict NK's ships. That would keep NK from transporting nuke materials
to "rogue countries or terrorist groups."

Just as the US did not take any guff from Iraq, so the US should not take
any guff from North Korea. Time for bully brats to learn another lesson.
Yes yes yes. Or the integrity of the US word is not worth squat. United
States President George W. Bush however has proven that the US word means
everything, hence the planet plates having moved big time with Iraqi
Freedom.

The US must continue to be deeply concerned about two items: North Korea's
owning nuclear weaponry as well as its transporting nuclear materials to
others.

North Korea is manufacturing plutonium for nuke weaponry, saying it will
use bombs if need be, all in order to blackmail the US for food and money
assistance.

Though North Korea says it is not a transporter of nuke materials, the US
does not believe North Korea for the country is a liar to the max degree.
Shades of Hussein the Horrible. Therefore, when North Korea says it does
not sponsor terrorism, the US says North Korea lies. Because the US holds
to its postulate, North Korea cannot receive any US aid or World Bank
loans. Too bad. So sad.

When the US held dialogue with North Korea in April, North Korea responded
to a US appeal for peaceful solution by stating that North Korea would have
its way or set bombs loose. So there you have it. Bully brat.

Kim Myong Chol, self-appointed mouthpiece for North Korea, further states
that North Korea has 100 nukes set to destroy as many US cities. The number
could even reach 300. If US does not come through with what North Korea
demands, US metros get it in the teeth. Bully brat.

US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld counters Chol by saying simply that he
doesn't know what he's talking about. "I can't believe they said they have
100 nuclear weapons. They certainly have a lot of weapons that could strike
U.S. forces in the demilitarized zone but they most certainly do not have
hundreds of nuclear weapons," he told Fox News.

"We will not be blackmailed. We will not be intimidated," Colin Powell
said, adding, "North Korea is a master of saying all we have to do is keep
threatening and throwing tantrums to get their way. This time it is not
going to work."

Powell stated that the bully brat will not get its demands. Further, North
Korea will lay down its dukes-nukes. Period.

DEMS FLAT AS PANCAKES

At the preprimary debate, the Dems proved flatter than pancakes, even
dollar-sized ones.

The candidates for the highest office in the USA simply were "not there" at
best.

When it came to solutions to the nation's problems, they had zip, except
for Gephardt's lame try to convince hearers that a national health plan
would float. Yet even his own Dems rebutted by informing Mr. G. that he has
no detailed reasonable plan. True.

Mr. G., it's not enough to posture before the cameras with arm raised to
the skies while mouthing a promise that every citizen of the United States
will have a health plan blanket. Do you think you're chanting to the
moronic fringe?

So it is that the Dems produced a sideshow made for a Hollywood failure. No
wonder the lackluster photo op did not attract a vast audience.

Now what obviously is not working for the Dem machine?

First, the Dems lack in personality. They simply do not have an intriguing
individual with charisma--genuine charm. They have some younguns who are
trying really hard at it; but the harder they try, the flatter their
pancakes get.

Secondly, the Dems have no one with honest-to-God solutions to the nation's
real problems. It is a given that it is easy for candidates to carp about
the present administration, but the public sees through that quickly.
Complaining and finger pointing do not an election win.

Thirdly, the Dems have no candidate with a history of win win win. They are
either start-ups or has-beens who are worn out reruns, for example, Kerry
and Lieberman. There is no vital nerve moving inside the Dem Party body
politic.

Fourthly, the Dems are working their own demise by trumping too early, too
hard, and too empty. Of course that works to the Republican Party favor.
The more the Dems keep beating empty cans in the cellar, the more the
public will tire of the noise. By starting early in the presidential
campaign, the Dems have time framed themselves into irrelevance.

And with the recent time lags and substantive no-shows of the United
Nations, one surely knows that being irrelevant today yields nothing but
public frustration.

WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION HAVE NO BIAS

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

General Seif Eddin Al Rawi was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oops. Off with his head. And this isn’t Alice in Horrorland. This is Baghdad.

So weapons of mass destruction have no prejudice. They are an equal opportunity employer. They have ethics. They tolerate no bias.

So when they are used on the masses, fine. When they are used on solo mortal, fine. In any way needed, WMD make the final move and finish off.

Saddam Hussein is surely known now as one of the bloody dictators of all ages. Daily news confirms it — to liberals and conservatives alike. Therefore, if anything good came out of Iraqi Freedom, it was freedom. And for that the civil world can give thanks, regardless of one’s political slot. Human freedom counts most; otherwise, those in the United States of America would not prize our liberties as we do.

So it was that the US-led coalition was surrounding Baghdad, ready to capture its innards. Qusay did not like. Saddam did not like that. Therefore, father and son bonded like unto bonding in prior days when WMD went solo. They called in Seif Eddin Al Rawi. One can imagine the discussion was not extended.

After all, Saddam had not expected a rapid advance of US military toward Baghdad. He had set loose six Republican Guard visions to cover the Iraqi capital. However, two of those divisions were “neutralized” by US-led coalition attacks. The four others simply failed in their tracks. No resistance worth anything, according to the WORLD TRIBUNE on May 5.

Saddam and son were not at all happy.

Therefore, Al Rawi was called to the principal’s office. On the very day that the US-coalition militia took the capital, Al Rawi’s physical remains were sent to his family. He had been shot — execution style — in the head and back.

The Iraqi leading military commander was no more.

His crime? Treason.

Welcome to the Hussein theme park. WMD have no bias.
