I know what you are saying about the implication of the "evil Jewish cabal" and all that. My point is that it should not be surprising that an Arab - even a "non-conventional" Arab such as Queen Noor - feels this way. It should be expected, and should not be news, even to Dick Morris.

I'm also not sure that I agree that she is "dissing" the US. She is simply stating fact, that Jews have been very successful. And this IS a fact, whether you attribute it to hard work and capitalism and to the opportunities we have here, or to the nefarious means that Arabs do. I would be curious to see the quotes in the context of the book and without Morris' editorializing. (Not that I'm tempted to buy the book; I consider autobiographies to be the literary equivalents of reality TV).

I often think that, like many historically oppressed people, a lot of Jews see ghosts where there are none.

You are correct. Growing out of a victimhood mentality is not easy, esp. with WWII in recent memory.

The greatest influence on going beyond victimhood for Jews as well as all other people is...the GREATEST COUNTRY THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN (that's right, folks, the good old US of A!)
