Flanked by Trinity and Morpheus, Neo meets the Merovingian and his luscious wife Persephone (Monica Bellucci). The Merovingian is a Frenchman out of the Bush Administration bestiary: cruel, supercilious, with a love of cursing in Frenchwhich he describes as like "wiping your ass with silk." He refuses to release the Key Maker.

It was definately an attack on the current President Bush. I saw it the night it came out in the US, and it was clearly recognizable that it was him. Although it was not up long, it was safe to say that over half the audience recognized the dig at the President as well as the context that it was in--that President Bush was a negative part of human history. A rather childish attack IMO.

Have you ever heard of anyone getting shot while doing a cartwheel? Of course not. One of the rules of Hong Kong martial arts films is that doing cartwheels protects you from bullets.

I disagree. It fits in better with Christianity. Jesus came to show us that the material world is not real. That is, there is no physical law. That is why he walked on water. That is why he healed. That is why he raised himself from the dead.
Jesus did not want to be worshipped. He was the Way-shower.
Neo does the same, shows physical laws are not real, but an illusion of the clouded mind.
Buddhism does not have a resurrection.

You're wrong. The miracles proved that He is Lord over the material world. There is physical law -- it's just that God is not bound by it. You need to read the Bible from authorial intent, not from your new-age perspective.
Of course Jesus wants to be worshiped -- that's the whole point of John 3, especially verse 14.

Jesus said: Do not worship me, worship the one who sent me.
Jesus called people who followed God's law his brothers.
The first sentence is clear. Re the 2nd one, people do not worship their brothers.
You must have a "New age" definition of physical law if you truly claim it can be broken. Jesus said those who followed him would do greater things than he. I am sure you are healing the sick and walking on water. Especially since you are holy enough to tell me that I am wrong.
I am actually a Methodist. But considering the tone of your post, you probably think I am going to hell because of that.

Cornell West dies in the end, so go ahead and watch it! Thanx for the note, Dr. Warren.
Now, I don't advocate the death of anyone, but this line did briefly make me feel all warm and gooey inside.
Bad rdb3! Bad!

Did I mention it was weird? What I don't understand is why so many reviews have been ambiguous about the movie. They give back-handed compliments like "Matrix fans will find everything they want", or "Too much dialog but the effects were awesome..."
Flat out, Matrix reloaded sucked so bad that if I hadn't been in the middle of aisle I would have bolted. The Burly Brawl was as pointless as it comes. Once Neo knows that Agent Smith can replicate as much as he wants, what does Neo do? He sticks around and tries to fight it out! And then he finally abandons the fight by flying away - WTF? Why did he stick around so long?
In the first movie all Agents were treated with great respect. Didn't they say that nobody had ever escaped from an agent alive before Neo did? In reloaded the agents are treated as mere annoying gnats that are setup for more wire-work kung fu.
And what dialog! "You do not truly know someone until you fight them." What a clunker.
MR is just a very long, very trite advertisement for the video game. There is no philosophical depth - that is complete BS. The movie is clearly aimed at the 11-14 year old male, white demographic. If you don't fit that demographic it is a compete waste of money.

Actually Jesus was speaking in the physical form-do not worship me. The people were worshiping him because of his miracles and felt he was the one to rid them of the Roman control. They were not worshiping him because he was the Son of God, this is why He told them not to worship him.
When He states - worship the one who sent me, He is actually telling them to worship Him, because He is one with the Father, he is the Father. He along with the Holy Spirit were there in the beginning with the Father.
To: rdb3
Cornell West's part in the movie is very, very miniscule -- his role is really just a quick cameo. Plus, he dies at the end.

I agree. Worship him in spirit. I and my father are one.
The Kingdom of heaven is within. Jesus is within you and me.
I would say that 90% of all Christinas do not worship in Spirt though.

Cornell West dies in the end, so go ahead and watch it! No, the Cornell West character doesn't die. Zion was not destoyed, just the five ships that were supposed to launch the counterattack against the Sentinels. The trailer for Matrix: Revolutions shows Zion under attack.

"...because I love you so damn much."
That was a puker of a clunker. That's not even chick-flick material...it was as bad as they come. Eeew.

What???!!!?!?!!!
I thought all of Zion died. Remember, the guys in the ship that escaped said that it was a massacre. Were they just talking about their own ships? If so, why weren't they heading back in to defend Zion?
Not saying you are wrong. Just saying I'm confused!!
Of course, we all know that Zion REALLLLY doesn't exist anymore because it NEVER existed. It was part of the second Matrix created to contain that small percentage of people who rejected the first Matrix. Right?

The captain of the ship that picked up the crew of the Nebuchadnezzar said that the ships sent into the access tunnels to ambush the Sentinels had been massacred because one of the ships set off an EMP prematurely. The only survivor of this massacre was Bane, who had been "possessed" by Agent Smith in the Matrix.

Maybe so.

I saw it Sunday. In the scene, TV monitors show Nazis, Hitler, and an atomic explosion, and somewhere in the midst of all that the face of George W. Bush can be seen for a second or so. Why would such a peace loving president so emotionally engaged with the struggle of the comman man ever be included alongside such dark images? What could the filmmakers have been thinking? Is it too late to start a boycott of this film? Somebody call Clearchannel right away!!! Maybe if enough pressure can be exerted, the offensive image can be removed before the DVD release!
