For some Joe, this is merely cover from which to attack the Christian Right and culture warriors because they have a problem with that first and foremost. They also use it to attack those asking for a sensible immigration policy...like you or I.

One of many ironies in all of this is that the Christian Right is the biggest supporter of Israel there is..period...even more so than many American Jews whose liberalism gets in the way of seeing Israeli realpolitk necessities at times in a manner I cannot fathom.

Nor are many of the Christian Right (paleos culturallly)....toothless hick racist trailer park dwellers as we hear so often tossed around here. Typically, they are rather affluent, with large intact families and politically active in conservative circles.

This whole game here that a few like to play is smoke and mirrors hiding their true crusade and prejudices which is to attack social conservatism.
