I have to admit that I'm confused as hell.

Why? If it weren't for the so-called "neo-cons" we likely would have another 10,000 Americans dead.

al-Qaeda is virtually dead, and nobody, but nobody, is going to challenge the United States.

In addition, any regime that fosters terrorism knows that it risks being destroyed.

The era of Bill Clinton "patty-cake diplomacy" is over.

What's confusing is that I have been called a neo-con by folks here as well as by some liberal friends and the term is pretty elusive. What it seems is that the "Paleos" are generally isolationist and the "Neos" are generally internationalist (and even this doesn't always seem to hold true) and the rest of the rhetoric is all window dressing.

Until we have another Crat in the WH. How would Mrs. Clinton respond to a nuke in Brooklyn? Or Gephardt?
