Obviously, the peons and middle class haven't decided to leave.

Uhhhhhh, obviously you weren't paying attention. These homes I am talking about are huge. The median price is well over 200,000 dollars. These are not prices peons can afford. To the extent that they are being bought by middle class Californians, I would have to think they are being bought by upper-middle-class Californians.

We have different concepts of huge. A $200,000 house in Venice is a dump. A $1.4 Million house has a two car garage in Beverly Hills. A 1,200 sq ft house on the beach in Malibu is worth $3 million.

The people I'm talking about don't live in median priced homes.
