The Pope, is attacked, because he sees materialism as a danger to man's soul, he was advising the President about his moral duty to be sure that war is the only answer, and because he is not quoted properly in a God-hating press regarding the evil deeds of a small percentage of ex-clergy.

Actually, the Pope has never had one good word to say about capitalism except when he spanks free market economies for not doing more for the poor, he has not once since the end of the Iraq war expressed gratitude for the liberation of 24 million people from the yoke of tyranny, and the Holy Father knew for 20 years that priests were molesting children here in the United States.

I'm Catholic also, and I admire the Pope, but he is not infallible in his earthly judgments.

Go back and read Centisimus Annos (sp) and then tell us what the Pope has or has not said.

I naver said he was / is / or will be infalliable, just that one should not fall into the trap of believing every thing one reads in the god-hating liberal press (Read -devil controlled). To do so would be to believe that the press is infalliable and has no agenda that they want to promote. This includes the roman catholic press sources.

We as conservatives, are quick to dismiss the press when it comes to liberal propaganda, but are just as quick to jump on the catholic bashing press's band wagon.

That's right folks, every thing you read in the news papers is true, and they never distort the facts.

"...the Pope has never had one good word to say about capitalism..."

That you have read.

"...he has not once since the end of the Iraq war expressed gratitude ..."

That you have read.

"...the Holy Father knew for 20 years that priests were molesting children ..."

So the press has told you.
