A good Sunday morning to all!
The beginning here is uncertain; typical of Spring's fickleness - trying to decide whether to be serene or stormy, but always getting our full attention - -

Break Forth O Beauteous Heavenly Light
Words: Johann Rist, Himmlische Lieder (Leipzig, Germany: 1641) (Ermuntre dich, mein schwacher Geist); translated from German to English by John Troutbeck, circa 1885.
Music: Ermuntre Dich, Johann Schop, 1641; harmony by Johann S. Bach, 1734.
Break Forth O Beauteous Heavenly Light
Break forth, O beauteous heavenly light,
And usher in the morning;
O shepherds, shrink not with afright,
But hear the angels warning.
This Child, now weak in infancy,
Our confidence and joy shall be,
The power of Satan breaking,
Our peace eternal making.

Good morning to you, Freepers...) Nice pic, LadyX...looks like the view out my window, too...the weather is in the process of decision...stormy, sunny, little of both?
Suits me just fine.

Oh Meekie, that's pitiful!
To: jwfiv; All
I am reminded that during the first week of May when I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, we eagerly awaited the Spring thaw and seeing the ground emerge for the first time since October!
The whole state held its breath for the Magic Moment when the Chena (CHEE-nah) and Tanana (TAN-na-naw) Rivers would break the ice and begin to flow on the surface - elaborately monitord by sensor trip setups, heavily and physically guarded.
There are enormous betting pools on The Second It Will Be Tripped - huge winnings on these two major events!.
It usually happened about the third week of May.
I remember vividly that after the Good Friday Earthquake in March 1964, that it was late in May when the snow in my back yard melted and I saw The Crevasse that I knew surely would have opened wide (from its one-inch diameter, running across the yard) its jaws had I gone outside to ride it out!
