Otherday I went on a field trip with my daughters first grade class to a nature preserve to learn about life cycles. What struck me is that they teach the life cycles of frogs plants animals and humans. However the only one that the life cycle starts at birth is the human according to the lessons that day. They never spoke of pregnancy or birth, she started right in from human baby is born and grows old but we learned the egg tadpole frog story. Even the pig had a lifecycle before birth but not the human baby.

So it had me wondering....do humans have a life cycle? Does it start at birth? Is this the message to the young audience? I clarified the human life cycle to my daughter later that night but found it disturbing to say the least.

We are going to see some real bottom feeders defend Scottie boy. We are going to hear how the baby was not a baby. Its going to be one sick ride and perhaps, a good thing will come of this.

I am still thinking about this damn field trip. Another lesson was the butterfly. They had the children play act the life cycle of a Monarch. From hiding the eggs under the leaves to caterpiller to butterfly and over again. Even the Monarch butterfly hides its eggs so predators cant eat them. Yet here we live in a society that promotes the killing of our own " eggs".

I would assume she meant to say 'it isn't even a person until it draws a breath', but she said human being, and it was the absurdity of that wording that stuck in my memory. Her host has actually said he doesn't believe the little ones are a human being until they've breathed outsid ethe womb. Perhaps she was trying to please her radio host. A freeper named tame has had a couple of radio exchanges with the freak host. [But don't bet on it. She's a ghoul of the first order.]
