As I tried to tell these people, local empowerment in my county would be a disaster for landowners. In those areas where the rural demography is being taken over by urban population centers, that trend will worsen.

I thought this was about property rights guaranteed under the Constitution?

One thing I've learned, trying to change the mindset of those who think they know the answers is very difficult. I've noticed that the property rights set has latched onto certain catch phrases and areas where they think they can win against the left. Trying to tell them that they may not be on the same path as the left but are still heading the same direction, seems to get you no where. Half the time, I feel I'm standing over on the right shouting "over here guys". They look at you but continue down the same path.
