The main staple of freedom and rights in a just and open society, including the original intent of our constitution is All liberties are derived from GOD. You don't have to agree on the specifics of who God is. The main staple of socialism, and therefore liberalism is that all things are derived from the government. One of Satans greatest victories is to erase from everyones minds that there is truly a GOD and that everyone is god themselves. If you don't believe me investigate it.

Socialism is not liberalism. They are very different political philosophies, though both misguided. The Government was founded under God but is certainly not a theocracy, and the fact that the Church and State remain separate is a proud foundation of American Democracy. The fact that faith or the lack of it is tolerated and even celebrated in the United States is what makes us free. If you think that this Country can remain free but only tolerate Christian beliefs then you are not a patriotic American.
