Santorum Did Something Dispicable (My head)

Second Thoughts

By William W. Lawrence

04/30/2003

I hope the Republicans for Rendell were not planning to make a routine visit to a doctor this week. They and the rest of us would find the doctor is out to protest the lack of action regarding Pennsylvania's medical malpractice insurance crisis.

The doctors, for the most part, are blaming the crisis on greedy tort lawyers. Actually, that is only partly true. The doctors, politicians and insurers should also be held responsible.

Fast Eddie set up a blue-ribbon panel to study the matter, but it died on the vine.

Meanwhile, take a couple of aspirin and wait for President Bush to solve the problem. He is in favor of capping non-economic damages doled out by gullible juries and he has the muscle to push a bill through the GOP- controlled Congress.

Attention Mr. and Mrs. America and all the ships at sea!

This just in!

Extra! Extra!

The left-wing moderate (we used to call them liberal) Democrats are censuring conservative Republican Senator Rick Santorum.

The senator must have said or done something of which they disapproved.

Apparently, it is something very serious because it takes a lot to get Democrats excited.

They do not raise an eyebrow at a U.S. President being accused of rape by several responsible women.

What about having kinky sex with an intern half his age in the Oval Office? They tell us to forget this. The country is not interested in such things. Perjury, telling lies under oath! Forget it.

Do they get excited when a U.S. Senator drowns his date while cheating on his wife? No, they just keep sending the oversexed drunk back to Washington.

Did he ever belong to and serve as a recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan? Nope, that honor belongs to a Democrat from West Virginia.

Did Sen. Santorum sell top secrets to the Chinese? No, again. That was Al Gore and the act did not electrify the left-wingers.

My guess is, Rick did something that in their eyes is despicable. He probably agreed with a U.S. Supreme Court justice about something. See if I don't turn out to be right.

My head

The spelling mistake gave you away.

It looks like Rendell is hell bent on doing for Pennsylvania's school system statewide, exactly what he did for Philadelphias.... make more democratic voters. I mean, you gotta love those civic minded Philadelphians. 100% voter turnout is just amazing to me.

Whenever the RATS are whining and crying in the press, then Repubs are doing their job. The first place the RATS take their grievances is the media. Go, Repubs go! In this particular instance, go, Rick, go!

The senator must have said or done something of which they disapproved.

They are worried he is on the fast track to the Presidency...
