Did I see a small Air Force insignia on the fuselage of Navy One below the portside cockpit? Could this have been in recognition of the President's service as a National Guard pilot? You FR military experts let us know!
What a great day, and a great President! This is just too cool. I am SO proud of our President, and our military.

Oh, man, that view from above with all the colors around the President is fabulous!

Did I see a small Air Force insignia on the fuselage of Navy One below the portside cockpit? No, the star-and-bar is on all United States military aircraft. It's called a roundel. In the photo below, look just below the cockpit under the wing root extension, just forward of the nose gear.
Other nations have other similar markings...
On this RAF Nimrod, the roundels are on the underside of the wing near the wingtip, and on the aft fuselage between the wing and the empennage.
