There's something important to watch here..other than the obvious.
Notice these people feel free to pat him....can you imagine anyone patting his Dad - or President Reagan - or Clinton? I can't. He's an ordinary guy...who knows how to be Presidential when he needs to be.
This is the military equivalent of the post-9-11 appearance with the bullhorn.

Good point, one I would have subliminally overlooked!

Notice these people feel free to pat him....I've noticed that before......I distinctly remember on the anniversary of 9-11 when he visited with the families, they ALL touched him.

Wonderful to watch history, as it happens. We live in truly amazing times. Other than Clinton's impeachment, I never watched news coverage of him and thought of the historical view. With Bush, I have always felt that his presidency will be truly memorable, for the historians... even before September 11th happened.

This is the military equivalent of the post-9-11 appearance with the bullhorn. Does anyone have that drawing of the soldier standing next to the fireman at the smoking ruins of the Twin Towers, holding out his hand to take the flag from the fireman - and the caption says, "I'll take it from here"??
