Sending Americans into battle is the most profound decision a President can make. The technologies of war have changed; the risks and suffering of war have not. For the brave Americans who bear the risk, no victory is free from sorrow. This nation fights reluctantly, because we know the cost and we dread the days of mourning that always come.

That was only half of it. Someone called President Bush the "Greatest Hitler the world has ever seen..."
WHAT?! Their hatred must so intense that they can't even think.
As much as I loathe the Clintons, I certainly would have not made the comparision. Stunning!
At the end of the speech, FOX said it was about 20 minutes (maybe they said 22 minutes). If the President started promptly at 9:00 (and he's always prompt), I saw him still shaking hands at 9:55....I think that's when I last saw them filming him on the carrier......so, he was shaking hands, by that time, for 35 minutes. : )
I am home. I prayed. I did NOT dis the President. Church started at 7:00 and is 2 blocks away. The President spoke at 6:00. Sheeeeeesh.
ROFL!!! : )
Sorry, grams, I couldn't talk at ya last night....all of a sudden, (actually, it seemed like right after my post to you), lightning struck and a big storm came in.....I had to get off line real fast.....I was afraid my 'puter would get zapped. DID YOU DO THAT!!! : )
I take back every mean, er, unkind, I mean, mistakenly posted post I've ever posted, grams.
I'm not worthy......

I do too, Klintoon's a pervert....I wouldn't have wanted a hug from him, it would feel like he was groping. GW's not like that, at all. And, it never looks fake when he hugs. Did you notice, too, the young woman he hugged, when he went past her, to continue shaking hands, you could see, on the left side of the screen, she was almost jumping up and down still that THE PRESIDENT HUGGED HER! You could see she was still excited he gave HER a hug! Too cool.
Yeah, I cracked up when I read that today. Completely accurate, mind you, but an S-3 just doesn't seem to compare with a 747 or Marine chopper.
I'm still waiting to see the 747 do the catapult launch.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
The America of today is presented to you by the grandchildren of the World War Two generation. In the worst show of mass rebellion possible, this new generation has become a horror to its parents by believing in the founding ideals of this country and willingly dispersing to the corners of the Earth to bring true freedom to all. These men and women are not willing to be the vicTIMS the 60s generation wants. They are vicTORS.
I have posted many times about the 30 something generation and our 20 something generation re their belief in this country and themselves. I have two 30 something sons, and they and their friends refuse to be victims. They are very patriotic.
My wife and I are in our 60's, and we never became victims and have loved our country. It so great to have these wonderful young Americans to pass the torch to. While watching our wonderful sailors on the Abraham Lincoln yesterday, I felt their pride in the tremendous job they did for America, the world, their families and themselves.
- Have You Forgotten
- I hear people saying we don't need this war
- I say there's some things worth fighting for
- What about our freedom and this piece of ground?
- We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
- They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
- Before you start preaching
- Let me ask you this my friend
- CHORUS 1
- Have you forgotten how it felt that day
- To see your homeland under fire
- And her people blown away?
- Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
- We had neighbors still inside
- Going through a living hell
- And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout Bin Laden
- Have you forgotten?
- They took all the footage off my T.V.
- Said it's too disturbing for you and me
- It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say
- If it was up to me I'd show it every day
- Some say this country's just out looking for a fight
- After 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right
- CHORUS 1
- Have you forgotten how it felt that day
- To see your homeland under fire
- And her people blown away?
- Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
- We had neighbors still inside
- Going through a living hell
- And we vowed to get the ones behind Bin Laden
- Have you forgotten?
- I've been there with the soldiers
- Who've gone away to war
- And you can bet that they remember
- Just what they're fighting for
- CHORUS 2
- Have you forgotten all the people killed?
- Yes, some went down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field
- Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?
- All the loved ones that we lost
- And those left to carry on
- Don't you tell me not to worry 'bout Bin Laden
- Have you forgotten?
- Have you forgotten?
- Have you forgotten?
- WE WILL NEVER FORGET
