What are you, some dimwit who can't get on C-SPAN to spew his dribble?

The troops are loving it. This is for them, you idiot. Go pee in someone else's living room.

You really need to put your essays in book form, John. You have a very powerful "voice" and they are a joy to read.

I was also thinking the same thing about how well the President's suit fit him, and was reminded that his opponent had to have one of his magazine pictures "air brushed". Ahem.
Thank God for President Bush!

Why are the SS guarding him like he was in a DNC meeting? These guys love him and not one of them would harm him. It's for public consumption. They know they are on national (actually worldwide) TV and they must be seen as aggressively protecting the president. A would-be assassin would figure that if they have this much security on the president aboard a friendly Navy carrier, just imagine how it would be out in the real world.

As I listened to the sober dignified speech of the President I couldn't but help to compare that to the silly screeching of the former first enabler.
That was the screech of the medusa.

Allright...I'll consider myself chastened. But know this, I've seen military instructors forced to waste over an estimated 1000+ man-hours this past year because of the twisted marketing strategy of an 0-6. Time they could have better spent training troops, or prepping to train, or even just going to the gym. For goodness sake, the Hints from Heloise lady was visiting the town, and sure enough, they had to invite her out to eat some friggin MRE's. There are more anecdotes such as those. But needless to say, yeah, I'm a little bitter.

I know, DU booted me. I think I might be getting booted here as well. Such is the life of a wannabe curmudgeon. Tolerance levels seem higher here, regardless of what I read about the FREEP.You have a sporadic posting history despite having been around for a while, then you post some totally cynical hard-ass comments about what a donkey show today's event was. If I were an admin I might send you packing about now.
I have never in my life liked politicians of any stripe, but today I saw a man that I admire as President of my country. That is a first for me in 43 years. I suspect that I am not the only person that feels this way.

The carrier will arrive in San Diego Friday, ending a record 10-month deployment.Just think where we all were 10 months ago and think of all the things that have happened since. Now think of all those things happening over the last 10 months without being with your wife or young kids.
My thanks to the crew of the USS Abraham Lincoln

Thanks for the suggestions on how to respond to the whining lib tomorrow. We'll see whether I can keep my cool enough to follow your suggestions:)

Thanks for fixing the typo.
It's amazing how they sneak in there--must be something in the software. It surely can't be these old tired eyes and these clumsy fingers. :^)

You might try enlightening yourself and listening to some of these sailors and airmen. They don't appear to share your views.

Terilyn can't reply for a while. She's on a 'mission'. ROFL.
Is Jake and Elwood with her?
