I think we were all grinning from ear to ear too. As a seasoned citizen, I was feeling a lot like I used to feel seeing my kids happy on Christmas morning. Also a rush seeing how happy all those boys and girls were to have him there.

Interesting... I am actually impressed by this. Don't ask me why, it isn't like I would be ashamed of him if he never carried a gun! It makes me believe that he knows that guns are tools that can be used appropriately, and are not dangerous, unless held in the wrong hands.

Poor Mara on the Fox panel looks like she wants to cry.....about what the President did today. Was it Mara or someone on some other show who was saying "Guaranteed these photos will be used in the upcoming campaign."
You know, if the 'toons could have pulled it off, they would have. When I think of some of the staged stuff they did, like the rocks bj used for a cross on the beach at Normandy, it makes me sick.
I heard somewhere too that Putin did this last year, oh yes, it was on Hardball. Flew in a mig to Chechnya.
Why would a CinC not do so?
BJ was just too much of a girly-man to think of something like this, and so were his advisors.
B-1 Bob Dornan on Hardball said he tried to get 41 to do this, wanted him to fly in a B-1, in fact. But 41 decided not to. Wish he had.
