I can tell you this, my 3 1/2 year old prays for Dubya EVERY night. He says ... "God bless the President who keeps us SAFE and FREE."
He added that to his prayers on his own!
And then he prays for our soldiers.
What a kid!
Indeed, what a great kid!
I've only been at FR for a short time, but I know you guyz are right. Dubya *has* to feel our support in prayer.

"One would think he just won reelection...
then again, he just might have."
I'm predicting 57% of the popular vote and 481 electoral votes. And hopefully he'll be able to sweep in enough Republican Senators to give us a filibuster-proof majority. It's not a pipe dream; it can be done.

It's SOP for a pilot to be armed when deployed in a combat zone. In this case, I don't think the president was carrying. He didn't have to...there was a big bunch of security, above, on and below SOCAL's Op-Area.

You must've instilled in your child that God does hear us when we speak to Him. Bless you.

U.S. President George W. Bush (news - web sites) participates in a pre-flight briefing in the ready room aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, as the carrier steamed toward San Diego, California, May 1, 2003. The President will later address the nation from the deck of the ship. The carrier has been at sea for nearly ten months. REUTERS/Larry Downing

When we speak of our presidents, sometimes it is correct to view them in protective or even parental terms, in that their concern is for the people of America. I believe the president truly felt wounded and outraged on September 11th, much like a lion would, trying to protect a cub... and he felt the urge to GET THEM! Perfectly natural, under the circumstances.

You inspired me to surf. First, I did not know Brian Williams is on CNBC now. Second, I then went over to MSNBC and Chris Matthews speaking with Bob Dornan and Lawrence O'Donnell.
O'Donnell just told the story at Chris' prodding of when Reagan was president and Leslie Stahl did a Sixty Minutes hit piece (there's a shocker---not). The gist of the hit piece was she showed President Reagan in different settings and the hit was that Reagan was taking advantage of photo-ops. Mike Deaver called her afterwards and thanked her for the piece. It seems images trump commentary.
Just about to hit post when Matthews said Ann Coulter will appear later in his program.

It looks like he has been having the time of his life! He couldn't be happier, and it shows. I love it when he said " YES I flew it and course I liked it" Later on he was heard to saw "I miss flying, I can tell you that!" He is in his element!
