Dutch Foreign Minister Jaap De Hoop-Scheffer has told the US government that the Netherlands is willing to take part in an international peace force in Iraq. The minister is in the United States for two days of talks with US officials, including National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice.
The United States wants as many countries as possible to participate in the peacekeeping force, which would remain in Iraq until a democratic government is installed.

Of course, the Dutch were "on board" since the beginning, but you knew that. I hope.

And I'll bet they won't be ordered to stand by and hold fire like they were in Srbernica when 10's of thousands of bosnians were slaughtered under UN (Clinton/Aunt Bea) rules of engagement.

Ik hoop dat het goed gaat, en geen toestanden als in Sebrenica.

Welcome aboard Netherlands!
I tip the hat to any country willing to jump in and help out...except those that
tried to bar the door...like France, Germany, China, Russsia, etc.
