If someone did not read Hebrew, and read the majority of translations to english, and it said...'Thou shalt not kill', how would they interpret this as murder? Do a search, the majority use the word kill, not murder. Is it murder, or killing to follow a countries leader in a war?

Again, the hebrew clearly means "murder". It is the original language that is authoritative - kill is mistranslation. The bible is inerrant in its autographs not in the translations. The bible says that the laws of God are written on the hearts of mankind, so even most atheists know in their heart is wrong to murder.

Your last question deals with the principle of "just war". I recommend you read Augustine on that and learn for yourself what wars are just and what wars are not. Let me ask you - was crushing Nazi Germany a just war? How about going after Al Qaeda? Isn't is quite obvious?

I do not believe that the bible is the inerrant word of God, and I certainly do not know what is in the hearts of atheists, or anyone other than myself for that matter. Because Augustine talks of just wars, doesn't make it so. Of course those wars were just, but there have been just as many, if not more, wars that were a result of less than honorable reasons...it's obviously relative.
