Not to mention the influence of Aristotle, Nietzsche and Dostoevsky. I believe she acknowledged Aristotle and Dostoevsky was on of her favority authors (mine too). But as you note, she also owes a lot to Nietzsche, which is not helpful to her cause. (See here, about halfway down the page for Whittaker Chambers' discussion of this debt....)
