I hope the GOP holds the democrats feet to the fire until the election.

Then let the democrats explain their Estrada strategy to the new largest minority in the nation.

Frist needs to get frisky.

Perhaps he could try the Shrillary Scream (tm) as described on an earlier thread...

Guarenteed to strike fear amongst dems

If the GOP doesn't start showing spine, lets toss them out of the Senate next year. No more excuses.

The Republicans could start pressing the treason case against Representative McDermott and thereby force Senate Democrats to distance themselves from him by approving Republican judicial nominees.

There's evidence McDermott was getting payoffs from Baath Party members, and there's even older evidence that the guy had assistance from Iraqi intelligence services.

It's time to play the McDermott card.

And Asshole Trent Lott was on TV tonight saying that he wouldn't support President Bush if he made "recess appointments of Estrada and Owen".

Aren't we glad that that idiot isn't in charge any more?

Frist has spent the last several days appologizing for his "mistake" on the tax cut. Perhaps he should find his 'nads and start the pressure on the DemocRATs, i.e. the pressure that Daschle says he hasn't felt.

A former trial attorney, Hatch replied: "No, I am going to keep it exactly the way it is. I mean, I hate to say it. I mean, I feel badly saying it between you and me. But I do know dumbass questions when I see dumbass questions."

ROFLMAO!!! I do hope the Dumbass Association of America doesnt get upset about being compared with the dishonorable Sen Schumer. LOL.

"While Roberts, a respected lawyer nominated for the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, is likely to win Senate approval, Democrats fear the conservative 48-year-old with 39 cases before the Supreme Court under his belt, may one day be nominated to sit on that bench."

---
oh the horror! the horror! actually nominating someone to a lower court who is so good he is qualified for the higher courts. How dare Bush nominate such People!

I totally missed that (I don't doubt it, I just don't remember seeing that info.) I'd love to know more about it if you remember where you saw it. Maybe that'd shut-up my co-workers who worship McDermott.

[A]sked whether he has yet seen any evidence of payback for the filibusters, "No, I have not," said Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D.

Does Bush have to be Senate Majority leader, too?
I thought we went through a lackadaisical leadership
crisis once already with Lott.  Maybe Republicans
can't walk the walk.  The right gave another glimpse
of its disdain for Congressional leadership by trashing
and dumping Newt Gingrich, so maybe this is more
the norm than an exception.

Hatch of Utah said. "Some I think are dumbass questions, between you and me. I am not kidding you. I mean, as much as I love and respect you, I just think that's true."

Thank you so much for posting this. I didn't get to hear it on the news before heading out to work yesterday evening and it sounded like it would be good...
But I do know dumbass questions when I see dumbass questions.
...and it is.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it Schumer, it's a keeper!
