This is another example where we can tweek the nose of the left. By asking why they did not offer him a job or did they not think his actions were heroic because he save a us soldier. Or was it the fact that he was a man and helped rescue a woman they have problems with...... We can have some fun here.

It looks like I'm going against the grain on this issue, but in my opinion Mr. al-Rehaief is the kind of person that Iraq needs to be a leader and help build the New Iraq.
He's got the intelligence, guts and determination to help turn Iraq into a prosperous, free nation...
However, no matter what he decides to do, and where he decides to do it, he is now a free man.
Good Luck Mr. al-Rehaief!

Pardon me, I lived in Egypt for six years, and I can tell you that most Arabs would respect this man's courage, whatever their opinions of the war. And most of them would understand the revulsion he felt when he saw the military guy in the hospital slap a petite 19-year-old woman lying in a hospital bed, with a number of broken bones and a head wound. Whatever their feelings about the war (and that appears to be changing, for some), most Arabs would appreciate what Mohammed did. The Egyptians I knew would say that he was a real man, and they would envy his courage and his good fortune. That is good to know. Thanks!

Am I the only one who thinks that perhaps it might be a good thing if this hero (and lawyer! odd that) stay in or return to Iraq to help in the rebuilding of his country. It seems to me that Iraq is going to need a good deal of people who are bright and not consumed with hatred of America, the West etc...willing to take risks etc....
I wish him and his family well, but I hope that they one day return to Iraq, it would be great to have them in America but no doubt he is needed more in Iraq.
