An equally good and perhaps more pressing question would be: Where are all the minority male voters going?
There was a similar program for men, but children were not allowed. And the qualifications were different. A man could not simply present himself as a penniless person with children who needed help. Only a woman could do that. To qualify for job training, medical care, free housing and food for himself, a man had to commit a crime. He would then be admitted to the men's housing program, which was pretty much like the women's program except there were guards keeping him in. He had bars on his windows, but then so did most of the women. This arrangement was a noble attempt by Democrats and liberals to re-create the conditions of an ante-bellum Southern plantation black women and their broods over here, black men in separate facilities by themselves. Thanks to Great Society Democrats, all this could now be provided in a more modern, urban setting like Cabrini Green or Riker's Island. And as you've noticed, the system also saw to it that all but 3/5 of the black population was disenfranchised. You would think that Republicans, racist as they are, could get behind such a thing. But nooooo... they fought it every step of the way. The minute the Republicans achieved a majority in Congress, they rammed their cruel and inhuman "welfare reform" down Clinton's throat. Some of them even talked about re-introducing the concept of "fathers" into actual American cities, proposing that we provide job training to men, as well as women, but without requiring the men to commit a felony first. It seems insane, but that is what they tried to pass, and they did get some funds for this insidious program. So now things are worse. |
