Two top people at scandal-scarred ImClone have been booted from their posts - including CEO Harlan Waksal, brother of the company's felonious founder.

Harlan Waksal, 50, was tossed out as a result of the company's own probe of alleged tax-cheating over the way executives chased in options and warrants, the company said last night.

In 1981, Harlan - a freshly minted medical doctor - was arrested attempting to smuggle two pounds of cocaine in his underwear through a Fort Lauderdale airport. Convicted and sentenced to nine years in prison, Harlan walked free later after a federal court set aside his conviction on a technicality.

"But, but, officer, the coke was for "medical" purposes."

These rascally Waksals are despicable. They can't be trusted in a democracy where the rule of law is paramount. They refuse to honor laws. They drive our culture down to new and more ignominious levels.
