Quarrel over North Korea

NOT FOR THE first time, the fractious Bush administration is putting its own silly quarrels ahead of a determined response to the most serious threat to American security -- nuclear weapons in North Korea. The quarrel is worrisome because it involves a proposal from the Donald Rumsfeld-Dick Cheney camp that could easily escalate to full-scale war -- an embargo on North Korean movement of weapons and illegal drugs on the high seas.

The quarrel is worrisome because it involves a proposal from the Donald Rumsfeld-Dick Cheney camp that could easily escalate to full-scale war -- an embargo on North Korean movement of weapons and illegal drugs on the high seas.

North Korea is a grave problem for those not afraid to pursue aggressive diplomacy backed by a credible threat of force.

So, we can't embargo them or deter them from successfully exporting weapons or drugs because that "could easily escalate to a full-scale-war", but if we use "aggressive diplomacy with a credible threat of force" that will have a kumbaya outcome... What a twit..

Bush might want to consider getting his own fingernails dirty before it is too late.

Oliphant might want to consider thinking things through before before adding his voice to the chorus of political thumbsuckers.
