Saddam die-hards say he will speak

WASHINGTON - Saddam Hussein is alive and plans to speak to his people sometime in the next 48 hours.

That's the word from a new group calling itself Iraqi Resistance and Liberation, which sent a letter to the London-based Arabic newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi.

"President Saddam Hussein wasn't killed, is still alive and will address a message to the Iraqi people and the nation," the statement said.

The shadowy group also charged U.S. forces have tortured 5,000 Iraqis to death.

U.S. officials have said they do not know whether Saddam survived two bombing attacks.

Iraqi exile leader Ahmed Chalabi has said the deposed dictator is alive and still inside Iraq.

Saddam.......A man without a palace to call home. A war criminal who'e ego still tells him he is the ruler of Iraq.....LOL!! I believe he is dead ot injured and any "appearance" would be a double or old footage. The Saddam die hards could see Yassar Arafat speaking and think it was Saddam. What's next.
