He was placed in a MIA status. As such, he is subject to promotion along with his peer group. As a current Navy guy, I confirmed that he was indeed, selected to 06. As such, all pay and allowances are maintained.

I'm just not sure where his pay is going if his wife remarried. Probably towards the children.
