The "information" was that Speicher died in 1991 when his plane went down. I don't believe this. I also don't believe the other claim he reportedly made that he saw SH after the 2 bombings.

The "information" was that Speicher died in 1991 when his plane went down.

Later investigation of the event called the certainty of this claim into question. Turns out that the initial call on the weapon (a surface-to-air missile) was off; it was actually a missile fired from a MiG-25 interceptor.
