Woman allegedly throws bleach in cabbies' faces

TUCSON - Tucson police are asking the public for help finding a woman who threw bleach in the faces of two local cab drivers in separate attacks.

The first attack happened on Friday. Police said at about 1 a.m., a woman approached a 51-year-old Yellow Cab Company driver, threw bleach in his face and took off with his briefcase.

I sat on a jury where some guys were on trial for robbing a cab driver at gun point.

I don't take kindly to cab drivers being attacked...or convenience store workers, or anyone else who is just trying to make a living.

I hope they catch this woman.

The police are asking for help finding the woman but they release not details as to her appearance. Why does that seem so...typical?

Tucson Police have arrested a woman accused of a bizarre crime. 42-year-old Katherine Walker is accused of attacking and robbing two taxi drivers in separate incidents using a jug of bleach!

Both attacks took place early Friday morning.

In the later attack which happened at 22nd and Prudence, police reports reveal that walker threw bleach in a 53-year-old cab driver's face - she tried to cut his throat with a knife, then ran after him.

The cab driver got away.

Police say walker used a big rock to break the windshield of the taxi-mini van, and steal the victim's backpack.

Both victims suffered some temporary blindness, but they're o.k. now.
