Still desperate for war news, they tune to CNN, BBC, and what appears to be a local favorite, Fox. They like it, people here say, because it has been the most supportive of the war.

Today I heard that the "anchors" for the Iraqi TV returned to their work -- I can't imagine what that would be since their network is off the air -- and that they were refusing to report anything American.

Hhhhhmmmmm, perhaps the Iraqi people have long since abandoned them as their news source anyway. After all, they were able to listen to Baghdad Bob's denials and step outside their home to see the reality!

BTW, do you have a hated lair hidden here on FR somewhere? Why do folks hate that secret location/den?

It looks like the Kurds are doing quite well in Free Iraq, I thought they would as they were able to get a head start in the northern region of Iraq practicing capitalism.

Theoretically, that is the job of the Voice of America. However, being a program run by Arabists in the State Department and CIA, it ends up being the BBC in Arabic.
