So a supposed libertarian site like Lew Rockwell wants government regulation to be used to slow down the expansion of Clear Channel.
Maybe they need to look up "libertarian" in the dictionary

Here is another winner.

If stupidity were physically painful, Lew Rockwell would be begging for euthanasia...

Interesting. Thanks for post. Don't know Rockwell--is he a paleo, or something?

Wow, a Clear Channel-Bush conspiracy. She even managed to toss Enron's name into this disjointed diatribe.

He asked a caller where they listened to his radio show. Then he said what sounded to me like, "Are you clear channel?" Is that anything like "What's the frequency, Kenneth?"
Every day, Lew's site gets a bit more flaky. Can UFOs be far behind?

Rockwell claims to be a libertarian of some stripe, but it is really hard to put a finger on what he really is - paleocon/lib, Buchananite, you name the fringe, he falls within it.

A "clear" channel is 50 KW AM station that broadcasts after sunset on frequency that it doesn't share with any other station... Based on the nature of AM radio waves, a "clear" channel can be heard all over the US in the evenings... "Clear Channel" is a play on words for this type of station's broadcast ability...

No kidding. This author inadvertantly uses Clear Channel as an example of the potential dangers of taking libertarian ideals too far.
To: TomB
I know that Dan Rather said the whole "frequency" thing, and that he was absurdly agitated when he said it, but I've never understood the whole meaning of the incident. Could someone explain it to me?

Someone just walked up to Dan Blather one day in New Yawk and started beating the crap out of him. The assailant was shouting "What's the frequency, Kenneth?"
